Milky Way timelapse in BTV’s Wonderful World

Short timelapse of the Milky Way in Vanuatu was used for the ending sequence of BTV program, Wonderful World “Vanuatu ni ikou” (English: Let’s go to Vanuatu).
The sky was bright with full moon so the Milky Way was faint. But stars still quite observable due to the dark condition without much light pollutions.

BTV is a cable TV company in Kyushu, Japan.
The episode “Sunbashi” (English: Pier) that was filmed during my visit received an award for the 41st Japan Cable TV Program Grand Prix for its excellence.

The story was about a 36 years married Japanese couple who had their wedding in 1980 Vanuatu wanting to meet local friends they lost contact back in the time without emails or phones on the island.
Intense research and coordination carried out by my friends in Vanuatu South Pacific Tours brought them back together with their memories from 36 years ago.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Morita and all the staff and people involved to create this episode.
