I had been preparing up till today for few months. Buying necessary equipments and testing them.
I am now in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Arriving on the night that Argentina won its match on the FIFA World Cup soccer, every store was closed and it was hard to find any restaurants open. Walking in the street filled with no shops opened for a while in the dark, we finally found a restaurant and I got my first bite of the beef stake in the country that had the reputation to be the best in South America. It was fun trying to find my way through in a place that no one could quite understand my instant Spanish and a pleasure to finally get some delicious meal after the long 15 hour flight.
After dinner, we went to the famous tower in the central of Buenos Aires and went to the tower to join the crowd of people cheering for their victory. It was amazing, seeing all the Argentinean, from the kids to the elders, all jumping, singing and cheering as loud as they could with huge smiles. It was a pity I didn’t take my camera since we were so desperately hungry and didn’t know how it safe it would be that night when we heard several gun shots to cheer for the victory. But definitely a great start of the journey in South America.
