Just few more nights to go until the first historical Aurora Australis tour “Flight to the Lights”.
\nThis\u00a0project surfaced and\u00a0became a\u00a0reality from Otago Museum\u00a0Director Ian Griffin’s strong passion towards aurora observation and the\u00a0aurora fan’s huge desire to see auroras more closely.<\/p>\n

The official flight number is NZ1980 chartering Air New Zealand 767 departing\u00a0Thursday, 23 March 2017 at 9:00:00 p.m NZT.
\n<\/span>It is planned to fly south for 7 hour to view the Aurora Australis from 38,000 ft\u00a0and more\u00a0than 65 degrees south.\u00a0<\/span>It is the first aurora enthusiasts gathering on a plane heading towards the Southern Lights.
