It was a beautiful treat to see quite a long aurora from the start of this year.
\nStarting sometime after midnight and kept glowing with waves and beams until the twilight painted light over the aurora.
\nIt is summer now in New Zealand and my four year old son was delighted to come with me as it is warm even at night.<\/p>\n

Companion for the new years aurora was the moon, which dramatically came up after the new year fireworks and opened the entrance to the aurora that followed.
\nIt was a great aurora from the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n
